Limewire Security....?

When using Limewire is there spyware and adware involved downloading to my computer everytime I run the program? I'm unsure and a little skeptical about Limewire b/c they say they have absolutley no spy/adware but people keep telling me they do. Anyone know the truth?

i'm using it for like more than 3 years.. it's just amezing and easy to use.

one more thing that, do not download from www.download.com, which sends the adwares with the limewire setup file.
spyware will be added to your computer when you install Limewire. Kazaa is even worse. After the installation is complete you should run Spypot and ad-aware (from lavasoft) to clean up your computer (both free at www.downloads.com).

I can only recommend that you install and run these packages weekly to keep your PC clean.

I would also recommend using Window washer to clean up your computer on a weekly basis and that you empty out your JAVA jar on a regular basis.

Another word of advice, don't download stuff from Limewire or Kazaa unless you have a good and up to date virus protection softweare package.
dude chill. i can share my limewire pro. it doesnt have spyware and adware. if u download basic one than u will certainly get loads of spyware depending upon which antispyware u have.
