when i go to control panel under security center, how do i get rid of the message under antivirus in security center that says bit defender is turned off?. it isnt even installed anymore.
My computer still thinks bitdefender is stil installed even though it isnt.?free adware remover
well go to control panel add and remove programs
make sure its uninstalled
then go to run command and type in msconfig click ok go to the start up tab
and uncheck bit defender
it may still be listed and your comp is trying to find it
when u restart a screen will say bla bla crap just click the box ok and it disapears
this all happens because you uninstalled the program but sometimes files dont get cleaned in the registry
you have to clean up the registry

now if you have no clue what ur doing get some help cuase messing up ur registry can mess up ur computer so before you do all this its a good idea to set a system restore point so that if anything does go wrong you can do a system restore
